London is a fantastic, cosmopolitan city that is worth visiting, at least, once in a lifetime. For first-time visitors, the major tourist attraction, like the Big Ben and the London Bridge, are on the must-see list. But, for those longing to experience London like a true Brit, there are literally endless options to consider. To give you an idea of where to start exploring the bustling capital and see where locals choose to grab a bite or have fun, we give you this checklist!

Where to Stay
It depends on what you really like. For example, the neighbourhoods of Hackney, Old Street, and Shoreditch is where more hipsters find their dream Airbnb hostel, apartment, or hotel. Brixton is the go-to area for hippies loving boho markets while alternative music fans prefer Dalston. As for lovers of old-world charm, pastel-coloured houses, and boutiques, the trendier areas of Holland Park and Notting Hill are both excellent options. All these areas are thriving with locals enjoying a great meal, drink, morning coffee or evening tea!

Tips:
Choose the region of your stay carefully. If, for instance, you want to do and see much during a short (or longer) visit to London, avoid too residential areas that have nothing except newsagents and chicken shops, like Hounslow.
Central London is usually more expensive than other regions so not a good choice if you are on a budget.
Where to Taste the Best Street-Food
If you are nearby Shoreditch, do stop by the Box Park and Dinerama markets, where you will find an wide-ranging mix of clothing stores, cocktail bars, and independent food stands serving delicious food (must-try Yumplings’ dumplings and Prawnography’s shrimp). And, while here, do visit Bounce, the biggest ping pong club in Europe with plenty of eclectic music, Italian pizzas, and cocktails, or walk up to Bar Kick to play table football! For darts and an always-buzzing atmosphere, Fight Club is an excellent option.
Other street-food markets worth visiting are the Borough Market (the oldest street-food market in London) and Maltby Street Market (both in Borough region), alongside Brixton’s pride, the Pop Brixton market, which is also home to small art exhibitions and free yoga classes, besides emerging and independent cocktail bars and food stands!

Where to Have Your Beer
Among the most beautiful English pubs where Londoners love having their beer is Victoria Park’s People’s Park Tavern, where they have their drink while playing mini golf in the beautiful garden! Another hidden gem lies at Finsbury Park. The Faltering Fullback is the pub whose unusual, maze-like design and superb outdoor space will steal your heart for sure. Finally, there is also Duke of Edinburg whose hundreds of loyal followers rush to savour their cold beer during days with lots of sunshine!
Knowing where to go when visiting London with a clear intention to see and experience the capital through the eyes of those that live in it will help you short out the limitless fun options provided to you. And, don’t forget. Wherever you want to go, we can take you with superior comfort, safety, and style! We may even show you around or suggest some ideas if you are clueless where to start!
