Historic Greenwich is an unmissable part of any London adventure. Not only is it the place where the two hemispheres meet, which has led to giving its name to Greenwich Mean Time, but it is also home to a World Heritage Site, London’s oldest Royal Park, and The O2 arena, to name a few. So, if you happen to be around, make sure you include the following on your must-visit attractions’ list.

1. Cutty Sark - The last tea clipper constructed at the end of the 19thcentury still standing welcomes visitors aboard. Hop on and discover how she was used to deliver tea to the UK from the far-away lands of China and walk beneath the hull that gave her the reputation of being one of the fastest ships of her time.
2. Royal Observatory Greenwich –It is incredible to even imagine that you can stand on both hemispheres at the same time! Find out how scientists mapped the stars and the seas back in the older days and don’t forget to also go by the Prime Meridian Line, the largest refracting telescope in the UK, the planetarium (the only in Britain), and an almost 5-billion-year-old asteroid.
3. Queen’s House –You will have the opportunity to see artwork from nearly 4 centuries ago, alongside impressive architecture. Its original purpose was to serve as a house of delightfor Anne of Denmark (James I’s wife) and is the country’s first classical building.

4. National Maritime Museum - There is no larger museum of this kind anywhere in the world. Here, you get to learn about things like the Royal Navy and the life of Admiral Horatio Nelson – a great British hero, whose uniform (the one he wore during his last battle, the Battle of Trafalgar) is also on display.
5. Greenwich Park –It is the oldest Royal Park in London that offers stupendous cityscapes and views over the Thames River. Once a hunting park, it is now home to the Royal Observatory, as well as several cafes and a small herd of deer.

6. Emirates Air Line Cable Car –An impressive ride from heights of 90 metres that will take you past breath-taking places and local attractions, including historical Greenwich, St. Paul’s Cathedral, Canary Wharf, The O2, The Shard, The Royal Docks, the Thames Barrier, and the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. If you take the night rides, you will be able to enjoy music and extended journey times, besides 360-degree views of London.
7. The O2 –An arena that houses some of the biggest shows and concerts of the world and a place that has been featured in many films over the past few years. It will steal your heart with its fascinating structure, and not only!

8. Old Royal Navy College –An architectural masterpiece that is hard to look away from, especially once you have stepped inside. Look up at the Painted Hall and the ceiling will dazzle you. Everything from the ornate hall and elegant plaster works in neoclassical chapel to the observation deck is simply heart-stopping.
